Galaxy S24 After 2 Weeks, No Regrets!
Here's my long-term review of the new Galaxy S24, after 2 weeks of excessive usage.
New Antutu benchmark test, screen-on-time (SOT), Screen off, battery passive drain (screen-off-time), camera and more.
If you want more tech videos, consider subscribing.
The model number is:
SM-S921B (256GB)
Both gray and black versions.
It is the EU version, which means it is powered by Exynos 2400.
This video is not sponsored, I only did it because I could only see S24 Ultra reviews out there and not enough S24 reviews, I hope you like it.

Greetings, here's my extensive review of the new Galaxy S24 Battery (Base). Some youtuber test the temperature of S24 and S24plus exynos in games. The result show that S24 have 1-2 degree celcius more than the Plus version in 30 minutes of gaming. The S24 also throttle faster to more or less than 30fps while the Plus have slightly higher fps in throttle mode. Both cap at 47degree celcius. Both reach throttle mode slowly but smoother until reaching the stable lowest fps possible unlike Xiaomi 14 which maintain longer highest fps but soon throttle down but struggle to maintain performance in throttle mode. In camera test from various source show that exynos version have superior processing in video and camera to snapdragon version. Also compare to Xiaomi 14 the S24 have better video quality front and rear camera but losing to picture mode. Comparing to S23 the predecessor have oversharpen image processsing but S24 have more natural look.
Thank you for your feedback! amazing information. For anyone having a Xiaomi 14 at the same price as the S24 I would strongly recommend it, unfortunately in Europe a Xiaomi costs +1000EUR whereas an S24 costs close to 600EUR for the same storage.
350 Euros mine so can’t complain
How do I get native calling ? Plz
1.8 million mad…😮 good review … 6-7 SOT is acceptable. How do u fix standby drain?
my S24 STANDARD went down from 100% to 70% in 3 hours " i don't use it alot " " 4g always ON " if i receive a text or something i just reply that's it
Hello, I have a question: is it normal that my new s24 gets warm up to 41°C under normal usage(chrome/youtube) and 45+°C when I use RUclips while charging? I just got it 1 week ago and I still can return it, should I do that?
I've noticed the same with mine. Ranges from 35-37 idle and 40-43 when using apps like RUclips or TIKTOK. Not sure if this is normal.
@@lewis4457 I returned my phone to the store(14 days return policy) and bought another one, and it does the same thing. So it is either a normal temperature for s24, or I got really unlucky :)
Can you tell us how to turn of biometrics and AI stuff.. I’m so hoping your channel is legit , some are saying bad gets confusing . I love size so don’t want buyer remorse. However I got 256 new for $600 under 1/2 price so crazy
Turn off AI: Settings, Advanced features, Advanced Intelligence. Biometrics: Depends, if it is the lockscreen fingerprint, Settings, Security and privacy, Biometrics. As long as you keep comparing you will have remourse, there will always be better, every year there will be better, I bought 3 devices at 600 EUR price approx 650 USD and I dont regret it at all, the battery still gives 9 hours minumum. If you can secure a Xiaomi 14 with the same range then that is a very good choice, but in Germany the Snapdragon Xiaomi was 999 EUR, so why would I pay 400 EUR more for 5% battery and performance increase when Im not even a gamer.
You sure 8hrs SOT?, update please ? ….also what message app you using and keyboard
Hello my friend, thanks for this nice video. I what to now ist the battery after the new updates . Thanks
Hi, you're welcome. Still the same, 11% per hour, 9-10 hours SOT.
Got only 3 hr screen on time .. too much heating.... all reviews are sponsored... when you use it then you realized... 😢 disappointing
How would my review be sponsored when I am such a small channel? I showed you the numbers using may applications, there might be something wrong with your unit.
Using it for 3 days now and I'm having 5 to 7 hours of SOT. I don't know how you get 10 hours of SOT. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. Battery is giving me really bad feelings. I can literally see the Battery % going down while using the phone. Stand by time looks bad too. Let's see if it gets better .... Good point is that it will make me use my phone less... but it's concerning.
This is very good. My redmi note 12 just makes 4 hours sot a day, and is down to 20%
Thank you very much ... was searhing for a video particularly on the battery drain of Exynos powered s24.
If anyone has any doubts with Samsung S24, comment below i will reply. I am user of S24 from the pre-booking of phone.
Hows the heating issue is it concerning im from india btw and summer will here in sometime so i want to know
2.4% per hour in deep sleep is pathetic. My Pixel 7 which doesn't have good battery life lasts longer..
Have the s24 exynos.. Love this phone... Not missing my pixel 8... And thats saying a lot.. I loved the pixel till the hardware started failing...! S24 is an amazing phone...
I test my s24 exynos with cooling had antutu score 1749186
steele, nice
watching on my galaxy s24
hows the SoT looking?
how is the phone temp while gaming? is it hot?
theese photos are makes like galaxy a series phone theese s series phone dosent looks a flagship for me.
i think the exynos is OK , but Snapdragon performance is a bit better. know that Samsung is not giving you the best, so only buy this if discounted, dont pay full price...
you have a really cool case where did you get it
I got the S24 plus 512GB with the Exynos chip and also so far so good!
same
I got about 5 hours screen on time with 84% battery used (was on cellular most of the day), is that normal?
How can you say this is as good as snapdragon ..my s24 drops 1% every hour which means it drops to around 7 to 8% in the night with no use . My iphone drops to only 1% . This clearly indicates battery is not optimized ... also oneplus has great battery life with snap gen 3.. exynos is still very inferior chip set
bro that is with alwayson on, my iphone does the same thing, please try not to confuse other people with that kind of comments
I am def buying this one next!
Does it have super fast charging?
It does, although its a 25W super fast charging
25W for the S24, and 45W for S24+ and Ultra.
I wanna get the s24+ so badly but I fear the inferiority of the Exynos (I also live in Germany) but I really love photos come out of the iPhone 15 pro. What do you think? I'm a long time Samsung user who also uses LDAC with Sony wh 1000xm3
As you can see with this year's Exynos, it's actually very comparable with the normal S8Gen3 in terms of Battery efficiency and Performance. I was always a team Snapdragon, but this year the difference really shrunk to the point of insignificance.
Trust me, you won't regret it. The battery life and performance have been awesome. In fact, I've turned on the maximum battery protection feature that caps my phone's battery at 80%, and I can still easily get through a day with 9 hours of screen time.
The 15 Pro has a much better "point and shoot" camera and selfie camera, but the S24 is not far behind, and I think the android experience combined with One UI more than makes up for it.
I am using it. It has heating prob. Try to get snapdragon version
i think the plus will be OK as it has a massive battery. Samsung should improve the Exynos over time with firmware updates. the S24 camera is good but the x3 optical zoom is slighly better on the iphone 15 pro ( i have personally tested and compared).
So would you recommend this phone for normal usage without much gaming. Just for normal browsing, chatting, videos and calls. Battery and performance is the main thing for me. If both these factors are comparable to snapdragon gen 3 then it's ok
You don't need top notch performance for basic usage. If you don't play games much, look for a phone that is more of a camera than portable console.
@@666marq this is for long term usage. So even basic applications should be Swift and not feel laggy and battery should be sufficient for such basic usage. If this doesn't work efficiently during initial few months then long term would not be good.
@@abhishekchandrappa5384 I see, but still, just think about it, whether you need a phone that does 1,8M score in antutu even for 3 years. I bet you're not going to use this 5 years or more as there will be phones that you'd like to get, like this one. If you're not into gaming, even something around 1M in antutu will do for a pretty long time. As for battery, you'll need to change it or change the phone anyway, no matter what you get. So if it's not just your vain desire to buy a fresh flagship to flash around, that's not economically or practically justified.
@@666marq Actually I'm one of the remaining ones who doesn't change phones for a long time. My last buy was over 6 years and that wasn't even a flagship then. So,my main priority is long term usage with no problems like battery drain, heating issues, lagging and apps getting stuck while doing normal browsing and chatting, software/security updates running out etc. Gaming is out of the question. Budget is not an issue and that's why given my requirements only flagships work for me but I'm sort of confused between s24 and iPhone 15. iPhone is quite slow compared to this.
@@abhishekchandrappa5384 Ok, so if it's like that, I'd be leaning towards s24 rather than iP15 especially atfer that fuss over Apple slowing down their devices with updates. It surely is a thing on Android devices but most likely would be that you just won't be getting current Android versions and you'll go for LineageOS. Your phone gets a new life this way without any slowings that are artificially created to make you buy a newer phone, so s24 seems to be safer, more lasting solution for you. And as you said, s24 is faster, actually iPhone is only better for sharing photos or videos on social media.
I gonna buy S23, maybe this has some improvements but battery is the most important for me and I think S23 battery lasts longer.
S23 is still a monster. If you can get almost the same for less, then it's not worth it to pay extra for no reason. Let's wait for S25, actually for S26 to get S25 cheap lol
Battery 🔋 life good on 3900Mah ? Last a good day ? I should be okay if I buy the S23 I don't even game at all on cell phone! I'm coming from the S20+ 5g should I upgrade to S23 or S24 ? 🤔
@@nccapone344 S23
To be honest, they almost similar in terms of battey, slightly better on s 24
I had S23 smaller battery was much of much
W T F! 1% every hour with screen off and wifi? Damn it bro.. this thing sucks! My a52 dains 0% over night.. damn!!!
Yes, this thing sucks battery better than OF girls sucks a...thumb.
I have s24 exynos, I get 1% all night, sometimes 0%
@@Paperman93 i have S24 Exynos and i lose 1% every hour with Wifi
@@SupermljCt that's serious issue
@@alexandrgr yep , hope they fix it
So the battery is still bad? Thats all Im hearing.
Idk 7-9 hours of SOT on a 4000mah on this form factor sounds like a good power efficiency for me, but ofc not as good as those 5000+mah devices. Depends on how large you like your devices.
@@BaraaTech I like smaller phones and I drain my S21 im about 3 to 4 hours because I do a lot of work over my phone
@@adinh6342maybe Xiaomi 14 is better for you holds Up to the bigger phones even at the smaller size just thinking about to stop the order and get the 14 over my provider. Zoom and ultra wide will beat the once of the s24 since all are 50 mp.
How is the camera app? Does it launch and snap pictures fast? And not blurry like Samsung’s before it?
What's your wallpaper? 😊
The premium one 🤭
Just AI generated one, you can do that in Samsung wallpaper picker, I chose Grey mountain range with Snow and that's what I got
Thumbs up 👍🏻 for this amazing video
Same base model with exynos and so far no regrets 👍
about to buy one, how is your battery? my SD 22+ doesnt last me till 4pm on X, facebook, youtube, browser and camera.
@@sellom2577s22 is trash whether you're on SD or exynos, Samsung foundry was atrocious back then. It's a lot better now.
@@sellom2577 If you are fine with a bigger phone, get the S24+. Its battery life is way better due to a much bigger battery (about 20% longer). But anyways, the battery life of the S24 is not too bad, but also not outstanding, pretty average. You will get through the whole day for the first 1-2 years when the battery is still near 100% capacity.
This man convinced me of buying this phone and I have no fucking regrets
Hbb 💜
Also no normal regrets?
@@JohnDoe-eb1zq no, just the fucking ones
As for fucking, I never had any regrets.
Many are telling that after a year it will start laging ... Processor became poor ... 😢
Great video.
Thanks mate!
This is my personal opinion. I feel like they should dial down the sky brightening on the night mode shots. Although it helps in making everything visible, it looks like it's dusk instead of night
I agree, my wife was confused as to when I actually shot the pictures, it seems like it was taken at dawn, whereas it was shot at night.
I just bought S24 Exynos ver. So far it's been great
SOT.
Thanks for this great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I do like and prefer the regular S24 its size is smiley amazing and good to hold
Was this the 256 gb model or the 128
I have battery protection on basic mode. After charging up to 100%, the battery very quickly drops to 99% in 2 minutes. Is that ok?
Can it last 8 hours of sot with light use?
mine has >5h sot gaming on mobile data, and 8-10h sot gaming on wifi. if im just using social media then it can easily last even longer
Folks wanna see s23 plus s24 plus battery drain test
Second day with my S24 and still more than 20% battery drain over night. It is really embaressing. I am sending it back if it remains like this.
How is it now? Got mine last feb 3. So far my SOT is only 4hrs to 5hrs to 6hrs :( thats just from browsing and watching vids. Im not a gamer. But it is indeed adaptive and improving over the past 3days.
@xixilaluh3562 mine is the draining issue. But in terms of SOT I get 6hrs at most
Do you recommend this one or plus because of battery life or do you think battery life is sufficient?
Im only getting about 6h screen time, ive had it for 2 days
